HEAR ME HEAR VOICE?
Debating through the Arts, Los Angeles Goes Live, LACE, 2011
While I recite a poem on censorship, detractors would obscure me with card boards as fast as I evade them. A simple attempt to voice a word escalates to extreme physical exercise as participants chase each other.

PLATFORM
Mini Wrong Gallery, LA><ART, 2009
A site-specific installation in Mini Wrong gallery, a one/sixth scale replica of the Wrong Gallery created by Maurizio Cattelan, Ali Subotnick and Massimiliano Gioni in New York City. The dimension of a minuscule gallery is three inches deep and 16 inches high, enclosed by two diminutive doors. By adding a stripe-pattern on the floor, I rendered the tiniest gallery on earth into a space of transformation, as Engawa which is a platform that bridges interior/exterior in a traditional Japanese house. Engawa is no longer inside or outside. A platform in a station or for speech is also a transitional space. They are non-space until it is utilized for a purpose. Gray-scale stripes are made of paint color cards.

MELTING LIGHT
performance video, 2008
I honor sculpture with chocolate syrup. Clean smooth sculpture is smeared and covered with sticky liquid. I invite audience to participate and offer a piece of sculpture as a souvenir. In doing so, participants merge the landscape of installation as their hands are also covered with chocolate. Others participate by licking syrup off the sculpture. Sculpture as the focus of 3 common obsessions - art commodity, piety and desire.

Sculptures with reflective surface dissolve into background or reflect viewer's feature as one observes. Hard-edged sculpture transforms to non-existent fragile object.
